Probing deep into heart, I found most of times we just miss the feelings of being loved in a way we liked or used to. It shows me a clear sign that we do not love self enough so that we keep searching love from outside in order to satisfy the ill feelings of lack of love, driven from the extreme hollowness of our soul.

Old Enough. The book, despite having so much humor and style, is terribly somber and, well, lonesome. It won a Pulitzer for a reason. If McMurtry's other books are this strong, then he may just topple George R R Martin as my favorite author.

Check out this great listen on A love story, an adventure, and an epic of the frontier, Larry McMurtry’s Pulitzer Prize- winning classic, Lonesome Dove, the third book in the Lonesome Dove tetralogy, is the grandest novel ever written about the last defiant wilderness of America. So, it was to Archer City, Texas, native McMurtry’s great surprise that his epic violent frontier tale of the Lone Star State, which he thought of as more revisionist-Western than traditional Western, reignited America’s romance and love affair with the true history of the real men and women who fought and died to settle the Western frontier.

Well, I Guess I’ve Been in Love Before, Once or Twice and on the Floor: Jake Spoon. I love the Paul Simon song, “Late in the Evening,” from which that line comes.

Jake’s the kind of fellow who’s good with lines. Heck, I think he slept with every woman in the book. He can’t love. Then, Lorena left him and to sustain herself she began prostituting herself. One of the men who is in love with Lorena is Gus and after he dies he leaves her half of the cattle he owned.

In the book, Lorena gets involved with Jack Spoon but he only uses her for sex and then leaves her when he grew tired of her. The books recommended are both new and old because I don’t know anyone who selects reading material on the basis of release dates.

Some of the recommendations are not for books. This book is a twin to the Really Good Book of Bluegrass Standards. Same format, but entirely different songs. Same format, but entirely different songs. The Equally Good Book has lots of common songs that didn't make the first book, great songs that don't get sung enough and some of the newer traditional sounding pieces.
